Chemiton®
SEBS (Stirene-Etilene/Butilene-Stirene) based Thermoplastic Elastomer; its chemical nature makes it very resistant to environmental stress (sun, UVA, oxygen and ozone) therefore particularly apt in outdoor applications.
They have a low Tg (Glass Transition Temperature), up to -50°C, and are available in grades eligible to be processed at temperatures up to 140°C.
Possible hardness has a range from 10 ShA to 60 ShD, while densities are in between 0,9 a 1,3 g/cm3.
suitable to be transformed thorough Injection, Extrusion and Blow Moulding can be delivered also in a toxic and/or in food contact approved grades. They can be over moulded to the most common techno polymers.
principal grades:
series C: general purposes, wide hardness’ range.
series G: a toxic and food contact approved.
series E: extrusion, a toxic version available
series H: for goods subject to temperatures up to 140°C
series T: highly transparent, a toxic version available.
series S: semi rigid (ShD)
series N: sport or highly aesthetic goods
franprene®
